Best Day Trip from Marrakech to Ouzoud waterfalls: Itinerary
Enjoy a full-day trip from Marrakech to the breathtaking Ouzoud Waterfalls, one of Morocco’s most spectacular natural sights. We’ll pick you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech in the morning in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle, accompanied by an English-speaking driver. As you leave the city behind, you’ll travel across the scenic Haouz plains, passing olive groves and traditional Berber villages along the way.
Upon arrival, take a guided walk through shaded paths lined with olive trees, leading you to panoramic viewpoints of the majestic 110-meter-high cascades. Descend to the base of the falls, where rainbows dance in the mist and small boats carry visitors close to the thundering waters. Keep an eye out for playful Barbary macaques that inhabit the area.
Later, you can enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch at a riverside restaurant with views of the falls. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to relax, swim, or simply take in the peaceful surroundings before we drive you back to Marrakech in the evening.

How long is the trip from Marrakech to Ouzoud Waterfalls?
The drive is approximately 2.5 to 3 hours each way, depending on traffic conditions. We leave in the morning and return in the evening, it’s a full-day trip.
What time does the trip start and end?
We usually pick you up around 8:00 AM and return to Marrakech around 6:00–7:00 PM.
Is hotel/riad pickup and drop-off included?
Yes, pickup and drop-off from your hotel or riad in Marrakech is included in the tour price.
Can we swim at Ouzoud Waterfalls?
Yes, swimming is allowed in the natural pools at the base of the falls during warm weather, but it’s optional. Please feel free to bring a towel if you’re planning to swim.
Will we see the monkeys?
Yes! The Ouzoud Waterfalls are home to wild Barbary macaques, and it’s very common to see them during the visit.
What’s the best time to visit Ouzoud Waterfalls?
The best time is spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November), the weather is nice, the area is green, and the waterfalls are strong.
Summer is great for swimming, and winter is peaceful, but the paths can be slippery.
