4 Days Desert Tour From Marrakech to Fes Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Gorge

 Pick up provided from the hotel/Riad, then toward Ouarzazate, via the renowned Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, which rises to 2,260 meters in the High Atlas Mountains. This is how the first of our Desert tour from Marrakech.

 Then enjoy the colorful landscapes along with the villages on your way from Marrakech. They are often referred to as the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Ait Ben Haddou, the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Falls on the way and is a famous spot with movies like “Lawrence of Arabia,” “The Jewel of the Nile,” and “Gladiator.”

 Next, head towards Ouarzazate, passing through the Skoura palm grove and the Valley of the Roses, known for its production of Moroccan roses and rose products. pass through the strange rock creation of Tamnalt Hills and Dades Gorge, carved by the Dades River for centuries.Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner and spend the night in a comfortable hotel/riad.

Day 2: Dades Gorge - Todra Gorge - Erfoud - Merzouga

 On the second day of your trip from Marrakech Desert tour. Another gorge named Todra awaits you with the roads through the Berber village and Dades valley. You can trek the canyons, which are around 300m high, and a favorite place for mountain climbers. Once finished,

 with the trekking, head towards the Erg Chebbi dunes in the Merzouga Sahara Desert. Lunch will be served before arriving at Erfoud. From Erg Chebbi, you can enjoy a camel ride toward the camp. Enjoy the fabulous sunset on the way. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, and Experience life as a nomad by spending the night beneath a starlit sky, accompanied by the sounds of Berber music.

Day 3: A full day to discover the Sahara Desert.

An early rise is highly recommended today to witness the breathtaking sunrise from a nearby dune. After a delicious breakfast at the camp, you’ll hop into our 4×4 to explore the Merzouga Desert. You’ll have the chance to meet the Berber nomads living beyond the dunes, learning about their way of life and how they thrive in this remote environment, as well as their rich cultural heritage.

Next, we’ll visit Mefis, a hidden, abandoned village where you can explore the remnants of lead and mineral mines from the French colonial era. Then, we’ll head to Khamlia Village, home to many residents of dark skin originally from Mali. Here, you can unwind with a cup of tea while enjoying a local Gnawa music performance.

After Lunch, you’ll return to your riad to check in and relax. You can choose to take a swim or enjoy a leisurely stroll to the nearby dunes. In the evening, in the evening You’ll savor a delicious dinner and spend the night at your riad/hotel.

Day 4: Merzouga - Rissani - Ziz Valley - Azrou - Fes

After breakfast at your Riad, we depart to Rissani where we visit the traditional Berber suq. Leaving Rissani we travel through the Ziz Valley and Errachidia. We will stop en route for lunch before reaching Azrou. There is a cedar forest that is home to a troupe of Barbary apes.

then heading to Ifrane which locals call the Switzerland of Morocco, we may have to stop or continue to Fes and drop you off in your Riad/Hotel. End of our 4 days tour from Marrakech to Fes
