4 Days Fes to Marrakech desert tour Itinerary
Day 1: Fes - Ifrane - Azrou (Cedar forest) - Midelt - Erfoud - Merzouga (Sahara)
Your 4-day Fes to Marrakech desert tour begins with breakfast at your hotel or riad, followed by a drive to the Moroccan desert. First, visit Ifrane, the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in cedar forests to see Barbary macaques.
Enjoy a delicious lunch in Midelt, then continue to Merzouga, passing the scenic Ziz Valley. By afternoon, arrive in Merzouga and embark on a camel trek to a luxury camp in the Erg Chebbi dunes, where you’ll witness a breathtaking sunset.
At the camp, savor a traditional dinner, followed by Saharan drumming, storytelling, and stargazing under the desert sky.
Day 2: A full day to discover Merzouga Sahara Desert.
After a delicious breakfast, we’ll begin exploring the Merzouga desert. Ride in a 4×4 to discover the vast desert, meet the Berber nomads, and learn about their way of life. Next, visit Mefis, an abandoned village with remnants of colonial-era lead and mineral mines.
Finally, we’ll head to Kamilia Village, home to dark-skinned residents from Mali, where you can relax with tea and enjoy a Gnawa music performance. Then you will go for lunch in a restaurant nearby.
After lunch, your driver will take you to the hotel/Riad where you will spend the night with a delicious traditional dinner.
Day 3: Merzouga (Sahara) - Rissani - Todgha Gorges - Dades Gorges
After enjoying breakfast, begin your journey to Dades Gorges, passing through the desert, Rissani, and Erfoud. If it’s market day in Rissani (Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday), explore the vibrant souk.
Continue to the stunning Todra Gorges for a walk along the river, then head to Dades Gorges for the night, enjoying a delicious dinner at your hotel/Riad.
Day 4: Dades Gorges - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech
On the last day of our 4-Day Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour, We will pass through the Dades Valley and the Valley of Roses before reaching Ouarzazate. Along the way, you’ll visit the historic Kasbah of Taourirt.
