4 Days Desert Tour From Marrakech Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Skoura - Dades Gorge
We will pick you up from your hotel to start your 4 days Marrakech Desert Tour with an unforgettable drive from Marrakech to Dades Gorges across the High Atlas Mountains. Ascend through the (2,260-m) Tizi N’Tichka Pass and see beautiful villages suspended on the flanks of the mountains.
Then we proceed to Ouarzazate through the implacable stone desert, to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and the well-known film studios. After having your lunch enjoy your drive through the Dades Valley along the famous one thousand Kasbahs Road, driving through the fascinating town of Skoura, and on to Kelaat Magouna, famous for its roses. After you arrive at Dades Gorges, enjoy dinner and settle in for the night.
Day 2: Dades Gorge - Todra Gorge - Erfoud - Merzouga Desert
On the second day of your trip from Marrakech Desert tour. Another gorge named Todra awaits you with the roads through the Berber village and Dades valley. You can trek the canyons, which are around 300m high, and a favorite place for mountain climbers. Once finished,
with the trekking, head towards the Erg Chebbi dunes in the Merzouga Sahara Desert. Lunch will be served before arriving at Erfoud. From Erg Chebbi, You can enjoy a scenic camel ride toward the camp. Enjoy the fabulous sunset on the way. Experience life as a nomad by spending the night beneath a starlit sky, accompanied by the sounds of Berber music.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert - Alnif - Draa Valley - Agdz - Ouarzazate
Wake up early to witness the stunning sunrise, then return to your starting point after freshening up and enjoying breakfast at the camp. We’ll continue our 4-day Marrakech desert tour, departing towards the Tafilalet Palm Grove and the town of Rissani, the birthplace of the Alaouite Dynasty.
Explore the ancient capital of the Alaouite Sultans before heading to the village of Alnif. Here, we’ll take the road that crosses the Jbel Saghro Anti-Atlas range. Take in the impressive greyish-black mountains with their unique shapes as we make our way to the Berber villages of Tazzarine and N’kob, before driving into the Draa Valley, which is lined with majestic palm trees.
In the late afternoon, we’ll drive to Ouarzazate via the Anti-Atlas Mountains, taking the Tizi N’Tniffift pass. You’ll spend the night in a cozy Riad or Kasbah in Ouarzazate.
Day 4: Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech
In the morning, we’ll depart from Ouarzazate to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, renowned as Morocco’s most stunning and well-preserved kasbah. This iconic location has served as the backdrop for numerous films, including “The Mummy,” “Gladiator,” “7 Days in Tibet,” “Alexander the Great,” and “Babel.”
After exploring Ait Ben Haddou, we’ll head towards the majestic Atlas Mountains. We’ll traverse the High Atlas via Tizi N’Tichka, the highest mountain pass in Morocco at 2,260 meters, offering breathtaking views of valleys, mountains, and nearby Berber villages. We’ll arrive in the evening.
