3 Days Desert Tour From Marrakech Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Skoura - Dades Gorge

 A pick-up is provided from the hotel/Riad. Then, we head toward Dades Gorge via the renowned Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, which rises to 2,260 meters in the High Atlas Mountains. This is the first of our Desert tour from Marrakech.

 Then enjoy the colorful landscapes along with the villages on your way from Marrakech. They are often referred to as the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Ait Ben Haddou, the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Falls on the way and is a famous spot with movies like “Lawrence of Arabia,” “The Jewel of the Nile,” and “Gladiator.”

 Next, head towards the Skoura palm grove and the Valley of the Roses, known for its production of Moroccan roses and rose products.. Travel through the strange rock creation of Tamnalt Hills and Dades Gorge, carved by the Dades River for centuries. Then enjoying a mystical night right at the heart of the gorge.

Day 2: Dades Gorge - Todra Gorge - Erfoud - Merzouga Desert

 On the second day of your trip from Marrakech Desert tour. Another gorge named Todra awaits you with the roads through the Berber village and Dades valley. You can trek the canyons, which are around 300m high, and a favorite place for mountain climbers. Once finished,

 with the trekking, head towards the Erg Chebbi dunes in the Merzouga Sahara Desert. Lunch will be served before arriving at Erfoud. From Erg Chebbi, You can enjoy a scenic camel ride toward the camp. Enjoy the fabulous sunset on the way. Experience life as a nomad by spending the night beneath a starlit sky, accompanied by the sounds of Berber music.

Day 3: Merzouga - N'kob - Agdz - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

In the early morning, you can rise to witness the stunning sunrise. After enjoying breakfast and freshening up at the camp, you’ll return to the departure point on camels, or we can transfer you back by 4WD.

We’ll begin our journey back to Marrakech, taking a different route that leads us through Ouarzazate, passing by Rissani, Alnif, Tazarine, N’kob, and Agdz (Draa Valley). We’ll make stops for lunch along the way before continuing to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains. This marks the end of your unforgettable 3-day Desert tour from Marrakech.

I was on 3-day tour, and it was amazing! Comfortable accomodation, tasty meals and very friendly team, ready to answer all your questions and fulfill all your requests. Is 3 days enough to go from Marrakech to Merzouga?

Yes, 3 days is possible to do Marrakech to Merzouga, but it depends on how much you want to see & how relaxed or busy you like the trip.

 

Sunglasses, sun cream, comfortable walking shoes, heavy clothing for evening, and a scarf or turban for wind are recommended to be carried along.

The tour is actually extremely family-friendly and suitable for elderly travelers too. We make regular stops and adjust the pace to accommodate comfort for everyone.

Yes, dinner and breakfast. Lunch would be at local restaurants on the journey and not included in the tour package.
