Day 1: Fes - Ifrane - Azrou (Cedar forest) - Midelt - Erfoud - Merzouga (Sahara)

  Start your 3-day Fes to Merzouga desert tour with an early departure, immersing yourself in Morocco’s diverse and breathtaking landscapes. Travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, The First destination is Ifrane, often called “Little Switzerland,” a scenic town that offers a peaceful retreat.

As you continue through the cedar forest of Azrou, the playful Barbary apes add a delightful touch of wildlife to your adventure. Enjoy a flavorful lunch in Midelt, famous for its sweet apples, before heading toward the stunning Ziz Valley, where you’ll find palm groves and ancient Kasbahs dotting the landscape.

The day ends at Merzouga desert, where the vast Sahara dunes create a mesmerizing backdrop for an unforgettable desert experience, followed by a delicious dinner at a local riad/hotel. 

Day 2: A full day to discover Merzouga Sahara Desert.

After a delicious breakfast, we’ll begin exploring the Merzouga desert. Ride in a 4×4 to discover the vast desert, meet the Berber nomads, and learn about their way of life. Next, visit Mefis, an abandoned village with remnants of colonial-era lead and mineral mines.

Finally, we’ll head to Kamilia Village, home to dark-skinned residents from Mali, where you can relax with tea and enjoy a Gnawa music performance. Then you will go for lunch in a restaurant nearby.

After Lunch, in the afternoon, you’ll start a camel ride, accompanied by an expert camel guide, to venture deep into the golden dunes of Merzouga. Afterward, you’ll spend the night at our luxury desert camp, where a delicious dinner awaits you.

Day 3: Merzouga Sahara - Rissani - Midelt - Fes

 Today, after enjoying breakfast, you will bid farewell to the desert, carrying with you wonderful memories. Your journey takes you back to Fes, starting with a visit to the Rissani Market, the largest souk in the region. From there, you will travel to Erfoud, a small town famous for its marble stone carvings and fossils. Along the way, you’ll be treated to the stunning views of the Ziz Valley, with its lush palm groves, all the way to Midelt, a town known for its apple orchards.

You will likely stop for a brief lunch break at a restaurant in Midelt or a nearby village called Zaida.

Afterward, you’ll continue your journey toward Fes, passing through the Azrou Cedar Forest, where you can enjoy the serene beauty of the trees and perhaps spot some Barbary monkeys.

You will reach Fes around 6 p.m., where you will be dropped off at your accommodation, marking the conclusion of our 3-Day Fes to Merzouga Desert tour.
