10 Days Desert Tour From Marrakech Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech (Transfer to Your Accommodation)

Arrival at Menara Airport, where your driver will be waiting to take you to your hotel/Riad. where You will spend the night.

Day 2: Explore Marrakech with a local guide

 After enjoying breakfast, begin a guided morning tour of Marrakech, exploring key sites like the Koutoubia Minaret, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and Ben Youssef Koranic School. Wander through the medina’s alleys, admiring local artisans at work, before reaching Jemaa El-Fna Square.

Lunch will be at a nearby restaurant, followed by a visit to the Majorelle Gardens and a brief tour of the Gueliz district, Marrakech’s modern area.

After we walk through Jemaa El-Fna, where you’ll be entertained by magicians, storytellers, and food vendors, return to your riad/hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Skoura - Dades Gorge

After Breakfast we depart from Marrakech towards the Dades Gorges, across the High Atlas Mountains. Ascend through the (2,260-m) Tizi N’Tichka Pass and see beautiful villages suspended on the flanks of the mountains.

Then we proceed to Ouarzazate through the implacable stone desert, to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and the well-known film studios. After having your lunch enjoy your drive through the Dades Valley along the famous one thousand Kasbahs Road, driving through the fascinating town of Skoura, and on to Kelaat Magouna, famous for its roses. After you arrive at Boumalne Dades, enjoy dinner and settle in for the night.

Day 4: Dades Gorges - Todgha Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga Desert

On the fourth day of your Marrakech Desert tour, you’ll visit the stunning Todgha Gorge, passing through Berber villages and the Dades Valley. The towering canyons, reaching up to 300 meters, offer an excellent trekking experience and are a popular spot for mountain climbers. After your trek, continue towards the Erg Chebbi dunes in the Merzouga Sahara Desert.

Lunch will be served before you reach Erfoud. From there, start on a 1 to 1.5-hour camel ride to your luxury desert camp, where you can marvel at the breathtaking sunset along the way. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner. Spend the night under the stars, experiencing life as a nomad, with the soothing sounds of Berber music accompanying you.

Day 5: Explore the Merzouga area

Start your day early to witness the mesmerizing sunrise over the dunes, followed by a hearty breakfast at the camp. Then we’ll explore the Merzouga area, we will start to visit Khamlia Village, home to descendants of Mali, where you can enjoy a peaceful cup of tea while listening to a live performance of traditional Gnawa music, immersing yourself in the vibrant cultural atmosphere.

 Next, we’ll visit the bustling Rissani market, famous for its lively souks and local crafts. Here, you can try the famous Berber pizza, a delicious specialty of the region, for lunch. 

In the afternoon, we’ll return to the Merzouga, you’ll Enjoy a delicious dinner, and spend the night in the comfort of your riad/hotel.

Day 6: Merzouga Desert - Rissani - Ziz Valley - Cedar Forest - Fes

On the sixth day of our 10-day desert tour From Marrakech,After Breakfast We head north through the palm grove of Tafilalet, one of the largest in the world, stretching for 20 km. We’ll then reach the Ziz Valley, where we’ll stop to enjoy the view and see the city of Aoufous.

After a lunch break in Midelt, located in the heart of the Atlas Mountains, we’ll continue through the cedar forest. If we’re lucky, we may spot some Barbary apes. We’ll pass Ifrane, known as “Switzerland of Morocco” for its Alpine-style architecture, before heading to Fes, arriving around 6 PM for an overnight stay.

Day 7: Explore Fes with a guided tour

Our day in Fes starts with an in-depth guided tour of the city, where we’ll dive into its vibrant history and culture. We’ll explore the heart of the medina, wander through its lively streets, and visit key historical sites.

Highlights include the Jewish Quarter, the Royal Palace, and the famous tanneries, where leather is still processed using traditional methods. We’ll also visit the AlQarawiyyin Mosque, often considered the oldest university in the world.

After lunch, we’ll take in a breathtaking panoramic view of the city before returning to a local riad for a restful night.

Day 8: Fes - Meknes - Volubilis - Chefchaouen

After breakfast, we drive to Chefchaouen, stopping in Meknes to visit the Bab Mansour gate, then continuing to the ancient ruins of Volubilis. Enjoy a guided tour of the well-preserved mosaics and learn about the Roman Empire’s fascinating history.

Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, you’ll be charmed by the blue-washed buildings. Explore the picturesque streets, visit the historic Kasbah and Ethnographic Museum, and relax at Place Outa el Hammam. Don’t miss the distinctive octagonal minaret and the vibrant local culture. In the evening, you’ll spend the night in a riad/hotel.

Day 9: Chefchaouen - Rabat - Casablanca

In the morning, we depart for Rabat, where we’ll visit the Hassan Tower, famous for its four distinct facades three in shades of pink and one in gray, influenced by the sea breeze. Next, we’ll explore the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, located next to the tower.

Afterward, we head to Casablanca, arriving in the late afternoon, where we’ll check in to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 10 : Casablanca - Marrakech

Today, we’ll explore the key sights and landmarks in Casablanca, including the impressive Hassan II Mosque. Afterward, we’ll drive back to Marrakech, where our 10-day desert tour finishes.
